Projects
Innovating for a Sustainable and Resilient Future
Carbon Data Tracking
Pilot: Triangle Blockchain Pilot, Bridgeport City
We lead efforts in tracking carbon emissions across various scopes (direct and indirect). This project aims to monitor and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for companies and communities alike, using blockchain technology to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Municipal Energy Security (MESA)
Project: State and City Resolution Recognizing MESA
Through MESA, we work to meet U.S. Department of Energy climate resiliency goals by reinforcing infrastructure, enhancing local energy control, and promoting sustainability. Our goal is to secure Bridgeport’s energy future and ensure our community is prepared to handle environmental challenges.
Distributed Energy Storage
Pilot: Triangle Blockchain Pilot, Bridgeport City
This initiative involves setting up localized energy systems that can provide power during emergencies and feed back into the grid. Our pilot at Bridgeport Fire Headquarters is a leading example of using clean, reliable energy to power essential services.
Green Workforce Development
Project: U.S. Rangers Workforce (USR)
We train and empower local residents with the skills needed for careers in clean energy, recognized by the U.S. Copyright and Trademark Office. This project creates jobs and provides opportunities in rapidly growing green labor markets.
Eco-Justice40 Community
Project: Seaview Village, Phase 2, Bridgeport, CT
Our flagship eco-friendly residential project, Seaview Village, is a community built with sustainability and affordability in mind. Recognized by the State of Connecticut, it prioritizes clean energy solutions for low-income residents, promoting long-term environmental and financial stability.
Geothermal Solar Integration
Project: Seaview Village, Bridgeport, CT
This project involves integrating geothermal heating and cooling systems with residential rooftop solar energy. By maximizing clean energy production and reducing energy costs, we’re helping Bridgeport residents save on their energy bills while supporting eco-friendly living.
Green Data Protection
Pilot: Bridgeport Fire Headquarters
We implement advanced U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) and Department of Defense (DoD) cyber protocols to secure ‘grid-connected’ energy systems. This ensures the safety and resilience of our energy infrastructure against potential threats.
Executed Justice40 Agreement
Project: Municipal Justice40 Executive Agreement
In partnership with the City of Bridgeport, we have adopted U.S. Executive Order 14008, which directs 40% of the benefits from federal investments in clean energy, housing, transit, and workforce development to flow to disadvantaged communities, including Bridgeport.
Waste to Energy Pilot
Project: Clean Energy 2 Communities (C2C) Team
We are working on a zero-emissions waste-to-energy pilot, currently under review. This project aims to turn waste into energy without contributing to carbon emissions, providing a sustainable solution for waste management.
Hydrogen Sourced Planning
Project: U.S. Department of Energy LEAP 2023 Grant for Sandia Labs
Bridgeport Labs Inc. is playing a key role in sourcing hydrogen power for critical infrastructure and vulnerable communities. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and Department of Defense, this project aims to provide a reliable and clean energy source for manufacturing and public utilities.
