Bridgeport Labs Inc is 501c3 minority led enterprise organized as an economic development corporation to operate as an industrial, technological, educational, research, public health and philanthropic entity. Citing the desparate effects of poor policies and missed opportunties, Bridgeport Labs Inc. was formed to empower community residents, create opportunties, and be part of the revitalizion of not just Bridgeport but the entire region. Understanding the disconnect between institutional partners, private investors, and city governmance, our organization aims to bridge the gap and ensure that the people of Bridgeport are represented on all planning, visioning, design, & implimentation of revitalization efforts of Greater Bridgeport

Bridgeport Labs is About Community Driven Action

In the Summer 2018, founders of Bridgeport Labs Inc. were part of the successful deployment of geothermal heat and cooling pumps along with solar panels for the Seaview Village gated community in Bridgeport’s East End which was void of new housing investment for decades. These properties were affordable ownership options with meaningful utiltiy savings. Neque porro quisquam est. This project ushered proposed legislation at the state capital to establish a Municipal Energy Savings Area (MESA). The project introduced microgrids to Bridgeport and a pathway to grid resilience for underserved communities.
